GREEN WIND CHOIR
Established in 2019 with an initial 80 members, Green Wind Choir has since grown into a vibrant community of nearly 200 individuals, ranging in age from 6 to 87. Regardless of background, profession, religion, or gender, all members share a deep passion for music, particularly choral singing. Under the direction of choir conductor Nguyen Hai Yen, Green Wind gathers every Sunday for practice, nurturing a sense of community and a love for music.
Since its inception, Green Wind Choir has been dedicated to organizing and participating in numerous meaningful music events. The choir remains committed to its mission of connecting people, enriching spiritual lives, enhancing musical appreciation, and fostering a more livable community for all.
Green Wind holds the distinction of being the first community choir to host its own choir concert—an annual event that has quickly become a highly anticipated tradition. Each of Green Wind Choir’s concerts sets aside hundreds of seats for special guests: disadvantaged youths from social protection centers, offering them a unique cultural experience.
Between 2020 and 2024, Green Wind organized 12 non-profit concerts across cities like Hanoi, Da Nang, Ha Long, and Hue. These events invited around 1,800 children from social protection centers to enjoy the music, with over 140 of them joining the choir on stage to perform.
Green Wind continues to inspire and connect, making a profound impact on the lives of its members and the wider community through the universal language of music.
